HOW2 Connect YOUR WINDOWS PC TO WIFI
To add a Windows PC to your Wi-Fi network, follow these general steps:
1. **Prepare Your Network Information**:
- Make sure you have your Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password (security key) handy. You might find this information on a label on your router.
2. **Turn on Your PC**:
- Ensure your Windows PC is powered on and running.
3. **Open Network Settings**:
- Click on the Windows Start button in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
- Type "Network Settings" in the search bar and press Enter to open the Network & Internet settings.
4. **Access Wi-Fi Settings**:
- In the Network & Internet settings, click on "Wi-Fi" on the left sidebar.
5. **Enable Wi-Fi**:
- Make sure the Wi-Fi toggle switch is turned on. This enables your PC's Wi-Fi adapter.
6. **Find and Connect to Your Wi-Fi Network**:
- In the Wi-Fi settings, you should see a list of available networks. Click on your network's name (SSID).
7. **Enter Your Wi-Fi Password**:
- When prompted, enter the Wi-Fi password (security key) for your network. Ensure you enter it correctly as it is case-sensitive.
8. **Connect to the Network**:
- Click the "Connect" button after entering the password.
9. **Wait for Connection**:
- Your PC will attempt to connect to the Wi-Fi network. Once successfully connected, it will show "Connected" or a similar message.
10. **Confirm Connection**:
- Open a web browser or an app that requires internet access to ensure your PC is successfully connected to the Wi-Fi network.
That's it! Your Windows PC should now be connected to your Wi-Fi network. If you encounter any issues, double-check your network credentials and ensure your Wi-Fi router is functioning properly.
