How to Bypass Reception
Joe takes the corporate motto "Move Fast and Break Things" a little too literally as the team crashes an MRAP into CurdTech headquarters.
1. High-Velocity Impact
They didn't just break the reinforced security gate; they vaporized it. The massive six-wheeled MRAP slammed through the steel mesh and concrete pylons in a shower of sparks, roaring up a manicured driveway and crushing a row of electric corporate shuttle carts.
Joe slammed on the air brakes right at the entrance, sending the fortress into a controlled, screaming slide that ended with their heavy steel bumper kissing the revolving glass doors. "We have arrived for our unannounced site visit," Brenda declared, unbuckling her safety harness and grabbing her surgical bone saw.
2. The Patagonia Horde
The lobby was breathtakingly sterile, featuring a thirty-foot bronze cheese DNA sculpture. But when the ambient lo-fi hip-hop cut out, a new kind of infected emerged from the Brainstorming Lounges.
| Threat Entity | Attire / Equipment | Combat Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Infected Tech-Bros | Patagonia fleece vests, lanyards, raw denim | Swarming, snapping jaws in perfect unison |
| CurdTech Security | Sleek white tactical armor, logo plates | Crackling blue stun batons, tactical lunges |
3. Aggressive Downsizing
A security Zom lunged over the marble desk, swinging its crackling stun baton. Brenda parried the blow with her license-plate shiv and drove her bone saw directly into the guard's unarmored knee. Joe followed up instantly, delivering a localized severance package with his pipe wrench.
Buster was in his element, tackling two infected marketing executives and sliding with them across the slippery marble floor into a row of potted ferns, while Ex-Calibur 2.0 easily pierced a charging project manager's branded polo shirt.
4. The Keycard Conundrum
Dave desperately tried to hack the executive elevator behind the reception desk, screaming that it required a Level One Executive Keycard. With no name tags in sight, the team was nearly overrun.
- The Save: Dr. Vance, his eyes flashing a terrifying violet for a split second, pulled out his old black-and-gold CurdTech consultant keycard.
- The Escape: They threw themselves into the elevator, the steel doors slicing through an infected VP's reaching hand as the lobby flooded with ghouls.
- The Warning: As the elevator plummeted toward the Bio-Vault, Dr. Vance issued a grim reality check: the people working below didn't just get infected—they were the ones experimenting with the virus.
