HOW2 WINDOWS 11 How 2 Change Your Mouse Pointer Size in Windows 11

Whether you’re finding it hard to track your cursor on a large 4K screen or you just want to add a bit of personal flair to your desktop, Windows 11 makes it incredibly easy to scale your mouse pointer. Forget squinting at the screen—here is your quick guide to sizing up (or down).

Step 1: Open the Settings App

The quickest way to get there is by pressing Windows Key + I on your keyboard. Alternatively, click the Start button and select the gear icon for Settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Accessibility

On the left-hand sidebar, find and click on Accessibility. Windows 11 groups all vision and interaction tools here.

Step 3: Select Mouse Pointer and Touch

Under the "Vision" section, click on the tile labeled Mouse pointer and touch. This is where the magic happens.

Step 4: Adjust the Size Slider

You will see a slider under the Size heading.

  • Slide to the right to increase the pointer size.

  • Slide to the left to decrease it. The change happens in real-time, so you can test the visibility immediately as you move the slider. Windows 11 allows you to scale the pointer from a value of 1 (default) all the way up to 15 (extra large).

Bonus: Change the Pointer Style

While you’re in this menu, check out the Mouse pointer style options right above the size slider. You can choose:

  • White: The classic look.

  • Black: High contrast for light backgrounds.

  • Inverted: Changes color based on what you hover over (great for visibility!).

  • Custom: Pick any color from the rainbow to make your cursor truly yours.

Pro Tip for Power Users

If you find yourself losing your cursor often, even after resizing it, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Mouse > Additional mouse settings. Under the Pointer Options tab, check the box that says "Show location of pointer when I press the CTRL key." Now, whenever your cursor goes missing, just tap Ctrl and a sonar-like circle will ripple around it!
