Shopify Markets Guide: Sell in More Places

What Markets Actually Does

Markets groups your international settings — currency, language, duties, shipping and product availability — into one place per region. Shoppers see prices that make sense where they live, and you keep one store, one inventory, one dashboard.

Start with a single nearby market where shipping is predictable. Prove the flow works before adding five more.

Set Prices Shoppers Trust

Let prices convert into local currency and be clear about duties at checkout. Surprise fees on delivery are the fastest way to earn a refund request and a one-star review.

• Review converted prices for odd amounts
• State delivery times honestly per region
• Test a full checkout as a visitor from that market

Translate What Matters First

You do not need the whole store translated on day one. Start with your best-selling product pages, your shipping page, and your checkout-adjacent trust content.

Machine translation plus a careful human read of the top pages beats a perfect translation nobody finished.

Watch, Learn, Expand

Compare conversion and delivery times per market each month. Expand where orders arrive happy; pause where shipping hurts.

The Wizard Verdict

One market, honest prices, clear delivery promises — that is cross-border selling without the headaches.

If your shop could sell anywhere tomorrow, which country would you pick first?
