To catch Zygarde—referred to in the legends as "The One Who Balances"—you must complete the final post-game quest: Main Mission 42: "The Order of Nature."

1. The Trigger

After catching both Xerneas and Yveltal, return to Hotel Z. You’ll notice the sky over the Lumiose Spire (Prism Tower) has turned a deep, swirling green. L and Mable will meet you at the entrance and give you the Verity Flute.

2. Ascend the Spire

You cannot use the elevator for this mission; the energy interference has shut down the city's power.

  • The Climb: You must navigate the interior scaffolding of the tower.

  • The Obstacles: You’ll face three waves of Level 70 "Corrupted Core" Pokémon (mostly Dragon and Ground types like Garchomp and Flygon) that you must defeat to unlock the security doors.

3. The Three-Phase Battle

Once you reach the Observation Deck, play the Verity Flute. Zygarde will descend from the atmosphere. Unlike other catches, this is a three-phase "Boss Stance" battle.

Massive HP. It will use Core Enforcer, which negates your Pokémon's ability. This is the "Catch Phase."

4. Capturing the Guardian

Zygarde cannot be caught until it reaches its Complete Form (Phase 3) and its HP bar turns red.

  • Type: Dragon/Ground

  • Weaknesses: Ice ($4\times$), Dragon ($2\times$), Fairy ($2\times$)

  • Best Ball: Since the Spire is considered an "indoor/cave" zone by the game's engine, Dusk Balls have the highest catch rate here.

Important Note: If you accidentally knock it out, don't panic! It will respawn immediately, but you'll have to restart the fight from Phase 1.

5. Final Reward: The Power of Construct

Once caught, Zygarde will revert to its 50% Form in your party. To change its forms freely:

  1. Open your Key Items.

  2. Select the Zygarde Cube.

  3. Use it on Zygarde to toggle between 10% (Speed), 50% (Balance), and Complete (Battle-only) forms.
