Clock Solitaire Guide: Beat Snarky's Clock, Card by Card
aop3d techShare
Some solitaire games let you wander. Snarky's Clock Solitaire puts you on a clock — literally. Thirteen piles ring the dial, Aces live at 1 o'clock, Queens at 12, and the Kings hold the centre. Only the centre card starts face-up, and every card you place flips the next card in its hour pile, so one good reveal can set off a chain reaction around the whole clock face. Play the full game right here on this page, or visit the original post: Snarky's Clock Solitaire — Beat the Clock.
The tension is beautifully simple: if a card's home pile has no face-down card left to flip, the chain dies — which is why the fourth King must fall absolutely last. Reveal all 52 cards face-up to win. Tap Start, watch the score, placed count, Kings and timer, and listen to Snarky, who is absolutely not rooting for you. It plays in quick bursts on a phone and just as happily with a mouse on desktop.
Beat the clock — reveal all 52 cards face-up, with the 4th King last!
Clock Solitaire
Cards ring the clock — Aces at 1 o'clock, Queens at 12, Kings in the centre. Only the centre card starts face-up. Tap it to slide it under its hour pile, and that pile flips its next card. If the pile a card belongs to has nothing left to flip, the chain ends — so the 4th King must fall last. Reveal all 52 to win!

The clock is holding its breath…
🏆 You Win!
Pro Tips
- Watch the Kings like a hawk. Three Kings can fall safely; the moment the fourth appears with piles still face-down, the run is in real danger — plan your pauses around it.
- Let chains run. When a reveal starts flipping pile after pile, resist tapping ahead — follow the chain to its end so you always know exactly which piles are exhausted.
- Race the clock second. Your timer and move count are part of the score story: a clean win in fewer moves beats a lucky crawl, so replay a near-miss layout and route it tighter.
The Challenge
Your challenge: clear the full clock with the fourth King as the very last card down. Do it once and you will understand why this quiet little solitaire has ended friendships with the phrase 'one more game.'
